A must-read book on “Productivity”
Jim Kwik, a renowned brain coach, talks about overcoming limiting beliefs, building motivation, and improving focus. He covers areas like memory enhancement, brain health, and speed reading, providing actionable strategies for continuous learning and personal growth.
If you are in your 20’s consider reading this book!
Limitless by Jim Kwik

Practical Lessons from this book to implement in your life.
1) Embrace the Power of Neuroplasticity.
Kwik talks about the importance of neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to form new connections throughout life. He suggests that, with regular learning and brain exercises, anyone can improve their cognitive abilities and memory, regardless of age.
2) Harness Motivation with a Purpose.
Motivation, as Kwik explains, is fueled by purpose and clarity of goals. He presents the “Limitless Motivation Formula”: Purpose × Energy × Small Simple Steps, suggesting that a clear purpose combined with energy and achievable steps can sustain motivation and productivity over the long term.
3) Use Focus Techniques to Improve Attention.
The importance of focus in a world full of digital distractions. Techniques like the Pomodoro Method, prioritizing single tasks, and taking regular breaks can help maintain deep focus. Managing attention is essential for effective learning and productivity.
4) Develop Memory with Visualization and Association.
To improve memory, the author explains visualization and association techniques. Using methods like the Memory Palace, where you place pieces of information in a familiar mental "location," allows you to recall details with ease. This approach helps structure and retain complex information.
3 Actionable Steps
1) Start Small with Micro-Tasks.
Break down tasks into the smallest possible steps. If, for example, you want to start painting but feel too lazy to get going, just aim to gather your materials or make a quick sketch. This simple, low-effort start often builds momentum and makes it easier to continue.
Research shows that starting with small actions can help overcome inertia, leading to a greater sense of accomplishment and motivation over time.
2) Use Visual Cues and Reminders.
Set up a dedicated space or visual cue related to the activity you want to do. If you enjoy reading but find it hard to begin, leave a book in an obvious spot, like on your bed or coffee table. Visual reminders can prompt you to take action and make the task feel more accessible.
Keeping these items visible helps the brain associate certain environments with specific activities, making it easier to transition into doing them.
3) Reward Yourself with Small Treats.
Build a small reward system. For instance, after 10 minutes of the activity, allow yourself a short break or a small snack. By associating the activity with a reward, you’re engaging your brain's dopamine system, making it more likely you’ll want to repeat the activity. Over time, this association can help form a habit where the activity itself feels satisfying, even without the reward.
Today’s wisdom
One of the key lessons in productivity is to focus on high-impact tasks rather than only on urgent tasks. This principle, often illustrated by the Eisenhower Matrix or Pareto Principle (the 80/20 rule), prioritizes tasks that align with long-term goals or have a lasting effect.
For example, a task might be urgent (responding to an email), but it may not be impactful in terms of reaching core objectives. High-impact tasks—like planning a new project, developing a skill, or making a strategic decision—contribute significantly to productivity and personal growth.
