"You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength."
-Marcus Aurelius
"We suffer more in imagination than in reality."
-Seneca
"It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters."
-Epictetus
A must-read book on “Business”
This book reminds us that the world is constantly changing but certain things never change. Reading more books will develop better filters and frameworks that will help us make better sense of the news.
“Same as Ever” reverses the process, inviting us to identify the many things that never, ever change. I liked this one, as I also love the previous book The Psychology of Money.
I would suggest this book to everyone.
Same as Ever: A Guide to What Never Changes by Morgan Housel

Practical Lessons from this book to implement in your life.
1) Human Nature is Constant.
The core emotions that drive human behavior—greed, fear, envy, love—remain unchanged throughout history. Understanding these timeless patterns helps us navigate life and make better decisions, whether in finance or personal relationships.
2) Focus on Long-Term Stability.
Instead of predicting an uncertain future, Housel advises focusing on what has always been true. By identifying unchanging principles, you can minimize risks and make more informed, stable choices.
3) The Power of Compounding.
Compounding plays a crucial role in both finance and life. Small, consistent actions over time can yield extraordinary results. The key isn't finding the highest return in the short term, but sustaining good returns over a long period.
4) Patience and Resilience are Key.
Whether in personal growth, relationships, or investing, patience allows value to accumulate over time. Surviving short-term setbacks is essential for long-term success, as most meaningful achievements come through persistence and endurance.
Today’s wisdom
"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader."
- John Quincy Adams
True leadership is not about authority or control, but about inspiring others to grow and achieve their potential. A powerful leader leads by example, encouraging those around them to improve themselves and reach higher goals.
